The earliest ancestor I have traced is Johannes Bernardus Fabel, born about 1658. If some of your relatives who migrated to the south and were in gardening landscaping I may have a contact for you.

About 25 years ago we were in contact with Kurt Fabel at 8261 Polling, Rathauster. 10, Germany. He states that the history of his line in America began in Springfield, MO in 1881 with Philipp Freidrich Fabel born in 1836. He was a gardner and his wife was Marie Johanna (Pilz). I have more info if this corresponds with any of your info. Good luck. Shirley Fabel

My Grandfather Grandmother, Christopher and Bertha Kast lived in New York City and retired to Peekskill in the 30's. His son Joseph lived in NYC and had one child, Dorothy. Christopher's daughter Bertha Fabel Conklin lived in NYC and also Connecticut and retired to Florida, probably in the late 50's. Bertha had a son and daughter, Curtis Florence. Curtis was a military man and may have retired to the east coast. I have no information on Florence. I hope there is some information here that is helpful to you. I have data on Christopher back to the 1650's should there be a connection. Good luck, Shirley Fabel

Warren,

Hello. My family and I are now living in Adams, MA. Should you like to get in touch, and as my mother says, she would love to reestablish ties, you can e-mail them at Dumouchels@aol.com, or call at 1-413-743-7976. Grandma Belle is still in Mt. Vernon NY, at 1-914-667-7514 and is doing well. Uncle Artie and Aunt Marsha are still in Rockville Maryland, and my mother has their number, etc. My sister Ali is going to graduate from Middlebury as Phi Beta Kappa this spring. I am a sophomore at Williams College, and my brother Evan is a junior in High school.
Hope this keeps you a little more up to speed. My mother would love to hear from you, and I would love to hear from you again. Take care,
Renee

My grandfather was Richard Michael Fabel, he had a brother Albert who left Germany and was to sail to America, however after setting sail he was never heard from again. This was in the early 1900's. My grandfather came to New York and settled in the Bay Ridge Brooklyn area with my grandmother and my mother Gertrude was born in 1939. Unknown if this is any relation to your family.
My grandfather was from Madgeburg Germany.
thank You,
Mona
