Hello-
I would like to learn more about the origins of the Gaona Name.
This is what I know:
My great-grandparents-Narciso and Theresa Gaona travelled to the USA from Mexico.
They established their family in Arizona.

Anyone with additional information--
Pls respond--very interested.

The Gaona Family in Mexico came from Spain to Mexico and settled first in the State of Guanajuato and from there spread out to al Mexico.

The Gaona name is of jew origin in spain.

I´m looking information about our surname"gaona". I study about this and I can say the origin is Jew surname of spain(15´century).I´ve got ancestry in the north of spain,in Burgos .The family Gaona was old nobility family in Castilla State.If anybody has got anymore information about Gaona surname, please send me this to :Kristina2003@everyday.com.

Hi,

My name is not Gaona, as you can see, but i have a friend living in alaska US, who's name is... All i know is her father was from spanish - mexican indian origin... I would like to get in touch with people looking for this same ancestry tree... would like to know where her grtgrtgrandparents originated from in spain, and see if i can get more infor on her ancestry...
I'm from Belgium, and she is planning to come to europe some day, and i think it would be just great if we knew where here family originated from in Spain, so we could go there !!! I know she would like that very much !!!

I have not had much information from my family name of Gaona. I understand that it is a Basque Name. I believe may Great Great Grand Father came form spain and settled in Mexico. My grand father was a carpinter to ran away to the circus and eventually had his own family circus. Circo Gaona. My grand farther had a nephew that was a bull fighter named Rodolfo Gaona. Just recently I spoke with someone on line and discovered that his family was relatives with Rodolfo Gaona. I to am looking the see when and were the Gaona name migrated and originated from . Did your Grandfather have a brother named Pedro, his second wife Susanna Quiroz?
He passed away in 1962. His children are manuel frank apolinar joseaphine and amelia. Ralph Gaona was from Miami az, Simon and his brothers from phoenix. Does any thing ring a bell? I am from Solomon Safford area in az.

I am Gaona and very interested in finding family
My grandfather was Pedro Gaona His brothers were Nicolas and Narcisso. He had twio sisters one was named Francisca. Don't know the others one. My dad was Manuel his brothers were Apolinar, Frank and sisters Josephine and Amelia. They have lots of cousins and aunts in the globe-maimi area. Some in phx to. Where are you from?
Do any of these names sound familar to you?

Hi, My grandfather was Pedro Gaona. His brothers were Nicolas, Narciso. Had two sisters one was named Francisca, she married castenda. Belen Elias and Thomas I just found out about. Does any of this sound familar to you?

Elias or Thomas. Like I said my gradfather was Pedro Gaona.I was raised with the family . i will send you pic's of my uncle and aunts and my grandfather, Maybe you can see a resemblence. I never knew Narciso, Think I met Nicolas he lived in Phoenix. Are his children Ralph, Simon?
Share any info with me.My Dad Manuel Quiroz Gaona is the only living child of Pedro Will be happy to recieve pic's and info.
