Looking for Hinch family of Waashington and
Crawford Counties of Missouri. William Hinch
married Martha Windes there in 1867. One of
the Hinch's said to be a doctor, possibly
William. There are an elusive family! I have
lots of data on the Windes.

Someone sent me quite a bit of information on Hinch some time ago and I'd have to look thru my papers. I have 6 Williams with birth dates of 1785, 1820, about 1838, about 1844, abt. 1855 and 1862. But I don't have anything on their marriages.

My grandmother was Lula Beatrice Hinch from Farmington, MO.

Carolyn,
Thanks for answering. If you can find anything that might point out the correct
William, I'd appreciate it. My guess would be the one with the birth date of 1838, since Martha Windes was around 30 when she married in 1867. The Civil War interrupted
marriages through that decade. Thanks!

Hinch

Hi Linda,

I also have Samuel Hinch/Charity Humble line, through son Michael H. who came to Texas in 1835 (claimed from Ala, but he's on 1830 Randolph Co, GA census). He received grant in Montgomery Co -- but settled in Lavaca Co. by 1846.

Samuel Hinch, b. 1801, (claimed from KY) and wife Leah Ann came in 1827, and in 1831 he received grant in Washington Co. (next to Montgomery Co.) I thought this was Michael's brother, but others have posted different wife and dates.

Do you have lineage on the children of Samuel Hinch and Charity Humble? -- would like to share notes...
