francis Kassing of Hamilton Co. NY father of Frank Kassing of Utica N.Y. (d 1886) m Elizabeth/Louise
sickels d/ Phillip Sickels of Ohio Twp. Herkimer Co. NY, also German emigrant

I am a direct descendent of Francis Kassing
and I have been doing a little amateur work
on the family off and on for a couple of
years. The only thing I can tell you is that
family lore and Census Records agree, it was
Germany ("Hanover" in the census). I believe
that the first Kassing entered the US in 1838
and settled in Morehouseville, Hamilton County.

I would be interested to learn about your
connection to the Kasing family.

home in Virginia.
