Hi, I am interested in this family line. I am doing a family history for a friend. His grandmother was Elizabeth McDannald born November 14, 1859 in Milan?, Sullivan, MO and died December 13, 1938. She married a John Pleasant Miller. Her parents were William Henry MCDannald and Deliah Reeves,
these I am not yet sure as this is the info
he gave me. Deliah Reeves' father is John Reeves and mother Susan McDormar, also not sure of. Does anyone know of these people and their dob's and deaths etc.??
Thanks, you may email me at Serick2119@aol.com

I have just started on the Reeves side of the family. My grandfather had a brother named that and wonder if he could have been named after his grandfather? Parents of Isaac were Barzilla Reeves and Rhoda Ann Powers. Barzilla's parents were William Washington Reeves and Margaret Elizabeth Ross

Ben, what are the dates and places of your REEVES? I am hitting a brickwall with (my husband's) ancestor, Richard Washington REEVES, born Sept. 1853, AL. Married 22 Nov. 1883 in Choctaw Co., MS to Mary Etta STEWART. Died 16 June 1935 in Pittsboro, MS. The "Washington" in William's name, while very common in the South, could be a common link.

I have Elijah Reeves (Rieves) several times in the history research I have done.

I have been able to make it back to Reuben Rieves (Reeves) children:
Joel, Elijah (m Mary "Polly" Sallings), Thomas Jefferson, John C., Joshua, Purify, Sally and Sidney King

Children of Elijah: Joseph, Joel S., William Jones, Thomas Jefferson (nickname in Revolutionary War - Wild Horse), Mary Jane, Angeline, Wiley James

Children of Wiley James: Nacy, Ella, Addie, Helen, James Wiley, Laura, Elijah Washington, Cassie, and Genia "Jean" (m Thomasson)

Rieves (Reeves) Cemetary is where many of the farther back Reeves' are buried.

Please e-mail me for any information you would like or any information that would be helpful to me.

Thank you!

According to census data, I M Reeves (1851-1920) was born in Ohio, the son of William Reeves Jr. (1813-1867) and Anna Saxton (1822-) His brothers were: Barzilla, Joseph, Thomas, Robert Lindsey, William Washington, Mary, Samuel Lafayette and George Reeves. His father, William Washington Jr. and mother came from Meigs County Ohio in 1852 to Fremont County, Iowa. Census data show that Isaiah Manoah's probable grandfather was William W. Reeves Sr.who came to Ohio from NJ via PA. He lived nearby Richard Reeves, the grandfather of other Ohio Reeves who came to Fremont County. My question: how were WW Reeves Sr. and Richard Reeves related and who were WW Reeves ancestors. (All the Reeves who emigrated were siblings or cousins.)
