Looking for a child who lived at the Baptist Children's Home in Jacksonville,early 1950s (1954-55 aprox.). Any help would be appreciated. I do have her name and aprox. age if that helps.

i was born in jacksonville ,texas - i have reason to belive i was adopted . but dads passed away. mom just saids there is a 3 page letter when she passes away for me. i am female age 50.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The person I am looking for was residing in the Baptist Children's Home in Jacksonvile, Florida. She would have been born in Florida in about the early 1940s. Her name was Caroline. I knew her from about 1953 to 1956.

No, I didn't live there, but I visited many times. I am looking for a girl, Caroline Straud, who lived there. She was a big part of my family in the early fifties. When I visited there I did meet many other kids. My folks would bring both girls and boys to our house. One time my mom taught a group of boys how to bake a cake. I wonder if your dad and uncle were in that group or if they knew Caroline.
