Looking for ancestors of the following:
DREYER,Frederick born 1823 or 24, from Hannover Germany
or Prussia, married a Josephine or Justine born about
the same year. Frederick's father was Henry. Also have
a spelling Dryer for him. They had 2 boys that I know of,
John Dietrich Dreyer, born 4/17/1852, and Henry, born 1850.
John married Louise Christina Koch in 1880. Louise's
parents were Frederick Koch and Lena Mueller (or Miller?)
also from Hannover, Prussia, or Bremen. They settled in
Wisconsin. John and Louise had 6 children, one was John
William Theodore Dreyer, born 1889, who married Caroline
Wakershauser, born 1894 to John and Augusta Koenig Wakershauser. Augusta's parents were Michael Emil Koenig
and Wilhelmina Kreier Koenig. Wilhalmina's parents were
Johann Wilhelm Kreier and Marie Elisabeth Schatz from Germany. Wilhelmina's sisters were Johanna Kreier and
Dorothee Juliane Catharina Kreier, brothers were Heinrich Wilhelm Kreier and Johann Theodor Kreier. Have also found
a Karl Kreier and Michael Kreier that I think are related
but have no further information on them. THANKS!!!

To whom it may concern:

I know my family geneology probably doesn't apply to your family history, but could you please help me discern my own family history. I live in Austin, Texas. The oldest person I know of in my family is my grandfather Edward Fred Koenig Sr. and he was born in Cuero, Texas around 80 years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

William Koenig

Surnames: Dreyer, Kreier, Dreysee, Kreyer
Looking for information on the following:
Dorothea Kreyer (sp?) married to Richard(?) Dreysse in Germany. She came from Bremen, Germany to Wisconsin after husband's death with children Henry Karl Dreysse, Richard Dreysse and Clara Willhelmine Louise Dreysse. I have seen some documents where Dreysse was documented as Dreyer. Henry's wife's family (Thalackers) married into Koenig family. I feel there must be some kind of "tie" into the families you are researching due to the same names and close spelling. Where in Wisconsin did your people settle?

Most settled in Columbia County, townships of Lewiston and Leeds. I haven't heard of the Dreysee connection, but the Thalacker/Koenig sounds familiar, I'd have to check with my Koenig cousin to be sure.

Hi Richard, Can you contact me off line at jbw@globaldialog.com? I really appreciate your additions to my research. My husband's mother, Helen Krier spoke of Uncle Ernie fondly. I had never heard that August's name was Charles. Learn something new everyday. It doesn't give Louise's mother's name, does it? Do you know if it is Maria? Does your family have the August & Louise Krier family photo? Do you live in MN now? Thanks, Janet
