Surnames: Boissoneau, Belvalle, Lemai, Grover, Bennett, Brown
I am trying to trace my mothers family, her mother was Julia Boissoneau the daughter of Emery Boissoneau and Angelique Belvalle. I know most of Emery's family but I am stuck on Angelique's grandparents. Her parents were Francois Belvalle and Angelique Lemai. I also don't know where Angelique was born. My mother was born in S.S.Marie and her family were early settlers. My grandparents left there about 1905 and ended up in B.C. about 1910. Emery and Angelique followed in the 1920's I think. He had two daughters by his first marriage to Angelique Biron, Mary and Angelique. Mary married a Sam Grover? Angelique married a Bennett? I think they married in the 1880's. They didn't come west and I don't know what happened to them.
Also Angelique Belvalle had a cousin named Mary Brown. Does anyone have any information about this family? I would
be very grateful for any help.

I am looking for information on Emery Boissoneau. My Great Grandfather Louis Charles Imbleau married his daughter Sarah Boissoneau and lived in Leavenworth, Washington around the turn of the century. If you could provide me information that would help my search I would be greatful.

While I have a little information, my great grandmother remains and enigma for me. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

We are planning to try to travel to the Montreal area in spring of next year to attempt a little up close and personal tracing of our roots. Any help would be apprecieated.

Dale, Firstly did you ever determine whether or not your Sarah Boissoneau was the daughter of Emery Boissoneau?? Also, Emery was married twice his first wife was Angelique Belavalle and his second wife was Angelique Biron. For a period of time he and his family lived in Fort William (Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.) and he eventually moved to New Westminster, British Columbia.
In his early years he was a master carpenter and boat builder. In 1861 he lived in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario with his father Joseph, Sister's Lucy and Mary and younger brother Leon (my G-G-Grandfather) Emery or Emeric was the 6th child (all boys) of Joseph and his first wife Marguritte Guillmond Leon, Lucy and Mary were from Joseph and his second wife Nancy Mesquabanokwe. Is this your Emery?? Dave
