I am just beginning my search so I have little info, but I have a Helena Flavin from Co. Cork, Ireland b 1868 d 1938 in USA. She married a John Henry Reilly/Reily/Riley and they had a daughter Lillian, my ggrandmother. I will post more info if I find any. All of us Flavin descendants from Co Cork must be related somehow, we just need to fit the pieces together.

Thanks,
Ailuri

I have a little info. My Grandfather was Simon Patrick Flavin, the youngest child born at a place called Red Barn near Youghal. He was born December 31, 1899. He came to Chicago in the early 1920's. Is this any relation?

According to my father Simon Flavin would be my great grandfathers brother. There were 10 children in the family. Their parents both died when they were very young. I have a picture of all ten of them the picture was apparently taken around 1903 or 1904. The family owned a farm in the town of gerture. I have no idea how to spell it. the picture I attached has all the ten kids starting on the top row from left to right it goes Dick, Daniel which would be my great grandfather. then Father Pat, and Mike. The middle row goes Jim, Willie, Ellie, Margaret. And the bottom row is your grandfather Simon and lastly Tom. According to my dad Tom was killed in world War 1. The oldest Pat was a priest in England for many years. Margaret was a school teacher. That all the info i have so far email me back at xoxoflavinxoxo@aol.com
