Jim, I'm not sure what you are looking for but I have a connection to Meshack by John Otis Perdue. This part of the family came to Tazewell Co, Va by way of Franklin Co Va which is south of Roanoke (near Rocky Mount), then on to Mercer Co, WV and then on to Falls Mills, Va or Mudfork which is in Tazewell Co. If this is part of the info you need let me know and I will be glad to send copies. A lot of this family went on the Sumner Co TN. I have that info also.

Mom was a Perdue before marriage. Her father, JDD Perdue, lived in Franklin County before his death.

Do you have a copy of Meshack Perdue's will?
John Otis is mentioned in the most fascinating document. I will be happy to forward a copy if you like.

Thanks again,

Mr Jenkins,

I've just started working on family history but sounds like you're talking about same Meshack Perdue as is in my family line. My Mom has copy of will also. A few years ago she and I went to house he spent last few years in living with son. At time we thought it was His house. House is fascinating however--there are ?missing bricks?? for lack of better term that were supposedly fixed this way to allow for gun?rifle to get thru to ward off threats. not sure if true threats or trespassers at moment. I need to study papers more. Also he is buried on this property I believe. He is buried in Franklin Co, VA I know and I believe he had an "interesting" occupation.

Bill is of the John Otis Elizabeth[WINGO] PERDUE through their son Silas. He is also through the line of Zachariah his daughter Cynthia. These families stayed in the Mercer Co., WV area. Some are still there. Which of the children of John Otis are you through?
