Daniel Franklin Tubb bc 1839 Walker Co.,AL son of William Tubb and Rhoda (Rody/Redy) Hill or Dill. Daniel Franklin Tubbs married Mary Catherine Fair on 13 AUG 1857 in Tuscaloosa Co., AL. They had three sons:
Francis Marion Tubb b. 1859
William Samuel Tubbs b. 4 APR 1860 Bibb Co., AL
Stonewall Jackson Tubb b. 13 AUG 1862 Bibb Co., AL
Daniel was killed during the war on 29 July 1864, Peterburg, Dinwiddie, Virginia.
Mary Catherine Fair remarried JR Mitchell and both are buried in Cullman Co., AL.
I descend from William Samuel Tubbs who married Martha Loutensie Yeager on 20 DEC 1881. They had 10 children:
Mary, Donna Lee (mine), Lula Virginia, Dwight A., John DeWitt, Travis, Wallace Clifford/Clifton, Billy, Mettie and Dolly Mabel.

Pendleton Co.,SC and wife Mary (abt 1730-1802 in Pendleton
Co. SC. William's son George married George's dau Elizabeth,
both were born in Orange Co. NC abt 1762 & 1763 respectively
They both died in Dickson Co TN abt 1836. George's bro John
moved to Perry Co AL. George is my 5Xgreat-grandfather. Here goes: Son Nathan Tubb(1794-1852) and wife Lovey LEECH
(1794-1855)had son George Mathison Tubb (1826-1922)who wed
Susan Frances EASLEY(1834-1871). Their dau Lovey Susannah
Tubb (1858-1928) married George Washington Gunter(1852-1899)
After her husband died,she moved with her children to Obion
Co. in west TN. Their son George Franklin Gunter (1880-1922)
married Emma Leona MYERS(1883-1971); son Norman Walter
Gunter is my father. I am a native of Obion Co. but now live
in St. Charles Co. Missouri. I have also met some other Tubb
cousins in the St. Louis area a year or so ago. Would love

Well here goes Charles Edward Leech m.Sarah Patterson they moved to Dickson county Tenn.from Philadelphia, Pa. in 1812.they had five children ,Sallie m.James Matlock then m.John Matlock,Lovey m. Nathan Tubb ,Jane m. David Bell ,and one son Jacob m. Priscilla Morris . Jacob and wife led a large group (abt.50) new settlers to Benton Saline County in 1835 or 36 he had twelve children .another son Daniel m.Martha Vick they remained in Tenn.Jacob was born in Nc. in 1778 D.1846 Priscilla b. NC 1790 d. 1869 both buried Hicks (Leech) cem . Benton Saline co. Ar.Jacob Leech was my GG Grandfather.
After reading your posts I feel our Jane Tubb belongs to your group but don't know where. She was born in NC abt 1774; m James Jackson , b 1774 in Guilford Co.NC. They were in Randolph Co, NC in 1808...maybe before that. Moved to Overton Co, Tn abt 1816. She died in 1852 but can't find her on the 1850 Census there. James Jackson died in 1849. Their oldest son was named George, b 1792, NC. Other sons were: John; Thomas;James M; Andrew Dawson; Haley. Several of these boys moved to Benton Co, Arkansas in the 1830's.
Can't figure out her connection to one of your George's. Can anyone help?
My father just told me last night the names of my grandparents from Walker Cty Al. My great grandfather was George Washington Tubbs. I have been searching for so long and this is the closest that I have come to touching my roots. Please let me know other names in you family. Hello! My GGrandfather was George Washington Gunter who married Lovey S. Tubb. Her parents were George M. Tubb and Susan E. Easley. George's parents were Nathan Tubb and Lovey Leach Tubb. I would like more information on the Tubb family since the only thing I have is a one page Origion of the Tubb family written April 18, 1915, and retyped March 13, 1965. My Grandparents James Nathan Gunter and Trulie Joyner died when my mother was four and five years old and I don't have alot of information. I would love to hear from my kin about the Tubb family. I have recently learned that my great grandfather was adopted by the Turners but was born Mallie Wilber Tubbs in Alabama to Richard and Lavina Tubbs. He was born December 2,1870 and died on July 17, 1928. He wsa in Maysville, Oklahoma when he died. He was married to Bertie B. Allen.
I'd like to learn more about Richard and Lavina Tubbs and trace my past up from there.
