Surnames: Van Holst, Haager, Hager, Hagen
Gerrit Pieter van Holst probably came in 1799 to South-America. Early 1830’s he was owner of plantation Anna Clementia (or Anna Clementina; 151 slaves). Mentioned as mothers of his six(?) children are the names: Charmantje Procerpina der Kinderen, Anna Wilhelmina Catharina Adami and Isabella Hoffman (she died March 18838 in Berbice?). Daughter Anna Wilhelmina gave notice of marriage Rio 18 August 1832 with Hendrik Christiaan Hager (then mentioned H.C. Hagen, but also mentioned as Haager or Menso Backer Haager). Haager came to Berbice in 1823 (with ship Vrederijk of capt. Kraay). Later owner of Goed Banannenland (21 slaves). Both plantations were located in Berbice at Canje creek. Other children of G.P. van Holst were: Jan Jacob (died 1865 in Kleve, Germany), Gerrit Pieter jr, Adriaan Alexander, Frederik Albert. G.P. van Holst sr died in 1839 in Londen UK, while returning to Netherlands.
Haager returned probably about 1840 to Netherlands. Associated names are (Ludolph) Mulder (died 1836 Zorg en Hoop), Von Motz, Van Goor, Charon de St. Germain, De Greuters, Lutz, Hoogkamer, Weenink, Scholten, Den Hartogh, Stael, Kip, Van Vloten, Calmer.
I am very much interested in all kinds of help with information related to subject, please.
Where can I check if G.P. van Holst jr. returned to Berbice after finishing his medical study in Netherlands about 1846.

Hello,
Here is some information on the Haager family.I haven't found any more children(sofar?)
More information probably can be found in the Borculo population records.

Hendrik Jan Weenink and Theodora Bertrana had one daughter, born in 1861 in Kaapstad.(Capetown)
