Looking for additional information on my family, specifically Hermann Schipman. Enlisted Spring, 1862 in Co. F 6th SC Calvary, under Cpt. Moses B. Humphrey. Captured at Stoney Creek Station, VA Dec. 1, 1864. Released June 5, 1865, died in Polk Co. FL, August 15, 1926. I have found a muster list and short Company F history posted to another question on this site, and other info on other sites. I am new to both Civil War research and Geneology, but am having fun, and would appreciate any help/direction. I am very interested in finding info that may include his parents information, as well as any military history involving his Companys service. Please post or email me directly. Thanks.
