Who was the husband of the Widow Mary K. (unk) Haupert, age 37, listed in the 1900 census for Paw Paw Township, Wabash County? My guess is that her husband was a brother of the Peter Haupert who was residing adjacent to her household.
Any help appreciated.

She was Mary Katherine Miller (daughter of Jacob and Elisabetha (Fetzer) Miller. Her grave marker actually says, "Mary K., wife of Jacob". Jacob "Jake" Haupert was the son of Frederick and Catharina Barbara (Nonnenmacher), my great-grandparents. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I have been researching the line for your cousin, Doris Haupert Weesner in Indianapolis. You two should get together and compare notes.
