Surnames: Simmons, Moats
I have a photo that was taken in Pendleton Co.(?) probably in Sugar Grove area in the 1930's. I have been told that it includes Harvey Moats, Leafy Simmons(female) and a young girl named Sara. Can anyone help me with the identification?

Surnames: Moats, Montagnais
My grandfather Harvey Moats was about 15-18 at that time... He also traveled throughout the USA most of his youth... Without seeing the photo, it is difficult to answer your query.

Karen, I'm working on a book about the black people of Pendleton County. There were connections between white Simmons and black Moats. Are the people in your picture white or black?
