The finding aids of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists these 3 Coopers

Vernon H. COOPER, 1901 - int 24 Dec 1985 and
Eva (JONES) COOPER 1902 - int 20 Jan 1972 both next to each other in plot 5,0087 & 88. And

Ashley H. COOPER, 1905 - int 16 Dec 1981 in plot 2,0649 all in the Vermilion cemetery.

run by the Cooper family. I'm doing some research for a friend in England she is looking for descendants of the Cooper children: Vernon was a member of Parliement in 1950.
She didn't give me much info to go on so anything I get is a bonus.

Sharon I grew up in Vermilion from 1962 to 1977. Al the names a familiar and I believe it was Ashley Cooper who ran the weekly newspaper.
My father still lives there and if you would like to contact him please get back to me.

Have you concluded your search for Cooper in Vermilion? I currently live in Vermilion and have in my possession a 75th anniversary publication about and printed by the Vermilion Standard. The very first page has a picture of Sextus R.P. Cooper founder of the Vermilion Standard. He owned, edited and published the paper until March of 1953 at which time his 4 sons took over. They sold the paper in 1973. There is one other picture of the Cooper family in the book (circa 1907). The former school (now museum) was also named the SRP Cooper School. Let me know if I can be of assistance.
