Redetzke cemetery is in the Town of Stettin, section 6 Marathon County, and is apparently a private cemetery within the township. It is listed as cemetery #84, in volume 3 of the cemetery inscriptions books.

Can anyone tell me if this is a family cemetery, or if it is a church cemetery? I have a relative buried here. Also, where is this cemetery?
Thanks
Bonnie

Shelley,
Should I suspect that my relative was a Redetzke family member? I did see that name on an index of Splettstoesers in Germany. Are you searching Redetzke? Do you know how big the cemetery is?
Thank you so much for your response.

If I remember correctly there are only 7 tombstones w/ the surnames Redetzke and Ludke/Luedtke. I believe because the Luedke's where there neighbors due to census that I have seen. You can google it by typing Redetzke Family Cemetery marathon county Wisconsin and click on images and it will show a couple of pictures of the graves there

Thank you. The photograph online of Henriette Splettstoeser's stone is wonderful and I appreciate it very much.

I am wondering if these families may have been related or have known each other in the old country. I believe my Splettstoeser family originated from Kolmar, Posen, Prussia. I have also found a Christian Friedrich Splettstoesser there married to Wilhelmine Redetzki. There are several Luedtkes in the same village.

Do your Ludtkes come from that area by chance?

Thanks!

The only thing that I know for sure is that they came from Pommern/Pommerania. I have heard places from where they came but I do not have any evidence to prove it and I do not know where thoses towns are today.
