Corbets of Tasley, Salop, England

I am attempting to discover which Elizabeth Corbet married the Rev. Beaumont Dixie at Lichfield Cathedral on 7 November 1728. This couple appear in the Tasley parish records as Beawnall Dixie and Elizabeth Corbet. Beaumont Dixie was the younger son of Sir Wolstand Dixie Bart. They left at least one son, also the Rev. Beaumont Dixie who was the father of three more of the Dixie baronets. From a Dixie source I had that Elizabeth Corbet was the daughter of Andrew Corbet and Mary Denton. I suspect this is an error for Mary Detton who appears in the Corbet one name study index as marrying an Andrew Corbet on 7 Feb 1706/07 at Tasley, Salop. Andrew Corbet in turn may be the fourth son of Thomas Corbet and Joane Wood, both of whom, along with Andrew and Mary appear in the indexes.

I was wondering if anyone else has looked at the Tasley Corbets who appear to have flourished in Tasley from at least Reginald Corbet, Rector of Tasley who died in 1642. He appear to have had a son also named Reginald and also Rector of Tasley, who died 30 July 1680.

Thanks
Louise

Elizabeth Corbet (bap 1701 at Battlefield, Salop the 3rd of 7 children) was the daughter of Roger of Adbright Hussey (1673-1715) and Elizabeth Edwardes (m. 1697/8).
Roger Corbet of Adbright Hussey was the son (2nd of 5 children) of Capt Robert Corbet of Adbright Hussey (1629-1698) who married secondly Elizabeth Kynaston in 1658.
Caotain Robert Corbet (1629-1698) was the 3rd child of the 12 children of Sir Pelham Corbett (of Lee & Sibbesdon) and Anna Corbet (nee Corbet of Moreton Corbet.)
Anna was the daughter of Sir Andrew and Elizabeth (Boothby of Delfehouse, Staffs) and was born 1611 at Moreton Corbet.

Thanks for your reply Jean and also for providing the great resources of the Corbet one name study webpages.

Just so I am completely certain about this, does the evidence show that the Elizabeth Corbet who married Beaumont Dixie, was the one born in 1701 at Battlefield with parents Roger and Elizabeth rather than the one born 1708 at Bridgnorth with parents Andrew and Mary?

Can you suggest any sources I could hunt for that confirms this? (e.g the wills of Roger or Elizabeth) I see that the PRO wills site has the will of Robert Corbet of Albright Hussey 1699 (PROB 11/449) but I don't see wills there for Roger or Elizabeth.

Thanks again
Louise
