Another leg of info re the Mannix family would certainly be welcome. As a novice however I do not understand your term " full gedcom file". I believe that I'm capable and ready to receive. Could you offer any assistance for me to accept?

Do you know where in Ireland he was from? I would be interested, but only if he was from the Dingle area. Thanks.

Surnames: Mannix,
References to Mannixes in Australia feed my curiosity about the sisters of my grandfather James Philip Mannix, born County Clare, Ireland, 1844, emigrated to the U.S. in 1866. My mother told me he had two sisters who emigrated directly or indirectly to San Francisco, CA, USA, where they met and married two men named Mannix who were not related to each other (and of course not to the sisters). The four then emigrated to Australia. Unfortunately I am woefully short on facts. I know none of the four names nor do I have dates.

Is there any connection to these people?
Please let me know if or if not. Thank you.

My great grandfather was Patrick Mannix. He was born somewhere between 1837-1848. According to his death certificate he was born in County Cork. His parents were John and Margaret Mannix. He came to America about 1860. He settled in upstate New York. He was married to Julia Falvey. They had 14 children. Several died as children. Does any of this fit into your information? Thank you.

Surnames: Mannix Minogue
My father Jack Mannix used to say our name was related to Minogue. I have been tracing all lines of his family: Lot Mannix arrived in Sydney 1839 with family, from County Cork (if only because that's where they departed from) probably coming from Bradford or Flag Mount, near Feckle, County Clare. It was said he had brothers, perhaps already here. Lot went to SF, CA, USA in 1849 but returned to NSW almost immediately. He had five sons and two daughters. His eldest son was Patrick c. 1837-1871. He was, like his father, a tailor. I have a gedcom file, would like to see file of original poster.
