Just an f.y.i. to anyone who's reading this, I have the book "Tombstoning in Kent County,Maryland,Vol. 5, which is the very eastern part of the county (Massey, Millington, etc.), so if anyone needs a lookup, post here.

I have Vol 1 for Chestertown and a partial for Stil Pond. What Crew or Hurd do you have in Vol 5. I will look up names and dates for your people. Also have Talbot Cty Vol 2. and "The Maryland Milita in the Revolutionary War" by Eugene Clements and F. Edward Wright.

I couldn't find any Gears or Janney in my book. Volume 5 covers just the easternmost part of the county.

I am looking for Beanna( Benanna) Gears, daughter of Peregrine who according to the 1880 census appeared to have married a Janney and had 2 daughters,Sarah and Isabella. Beanna is my great grandmother.

In the late 1600s and the 1700s there were many TILDENS, all males seemingly names John, Charles and Marmeduke. Hoping you may have some listings AND "son of," "husband of," etc. Could you possibly look?

I have many GEARS in my books,but none that match yours.
I have to go to the library,so I will look in the info there on Kent Cty and tell you what I found. I live in Chestertown and Sophia Hurd Gears,wife of James Gears was my grt aunt.
