Richard HERRON said to have been born 1848 (Oct. 6) had brother named Edward or Edwin, sisters Mary, Sarah Jane and Annie. All eventually came to the US. Richard was an ironworker "puddler" all his life, possibly a family occupation.
US records say he was born in Belfast, was most likely Protestant (Episcopal Church in US). Have been unable to find any birth or baptism record in Belfast area. for him. All suggestions or assistance appreciated. His sister Mary married a Catholic (Costello) and spelled her maiden name "AHERN" on the record. The family is said to have originated in Scotland previous to that generation. Looking for parent's names.

Just updating this message again. Still seeking information on these ancestors. Variable spellings of surname include HERON, HERRON, AHERN and AHEARN(E).

My ggf Richard's father did come to the US with one of his married daughters. He died in Sunbury PA as the result of a RR accident. He was born in Ireland in 1809 and his name also was Richard Herron (AHerron on his DC). Still need to verify who was his wife or wives, children's births and anything about their origins in Belfast back to a Scottish heritage.

In the US, ggf siblings (sisters) married COSTELLO, CLAY, SPLAIN/KLINE, lived in PA and IN
