Looking for info on a Mary McGregor who married Daniel Benjamin Young.She also had an older brothers (Gregor Lewis and Archie McGregor) and a younger sister (Margaret).Believe their parents to be either a Margaret McGregor or Archibald and Nancy(McLean) McGregor.Their address was 18th line Stephen.All 4 children moved to Michigan in 1900.

We're descendants of Arch. McGrigor and Nancy/Ann McLean:
In the 1851 Canada Census, South Dorchester, Elgin County, Ontario, Peter McGregor (b. 1781, Scotland) and his wife Mary MacArthur-McGregor (b. 1792, Scotland) are living with their family in Canada (some were married with children) some were single. Nothing on Margaret McGregor, b. 1825, in Keils, North Knapdale, Argyll, Scotland for that Census (she must have been living elsewhere) however, if Gregor and Archibald were her sons, they were living with Peter and Mary in South Dorchester:

Grandson , Gregor McGregor, Born Canada, Presbyterian, age 7, year 1845; Grandson, Archibald McGregor, Born Canada, Presbyterian, age 4, year 1848.

In closing, Margaret McGregor, was daughter of Peter and Mary McGrigor/McGregor - Archibald (married to Ann/Nancy McLean) was her brother.

He has been without a computer for over 4 years and he had stopped his geneology searching. He thought he had the right people. You just provided the missing link. My grandparent's family bible (from when I read it as a kid) had my grandfther's family listed as mary ann young, daughter of daniel young and mary macgregor, with only the name of NANCY listed as mary's mother. they didnt have a father listed. And Mary MacGregor's mom was listed as NANCY MCGREGOR" so we wondered for years about that. We just got the information everyone provided today, 2 days before chrismas. My grandfather was Daniel Henry Robinson, son of John Henry Robinson and Mary Ann Young. Mary Ann Young was the daughter of Daniel Benjamin Young and Mary MacGregor. Daniel Young was the son of George Young and Mary Sumner, who later married Thomas Marks of Parkhill, Ontario, Canada. Mary MacGregor was who were working on. We don't know her dad (or didnt, no mention of a Neil on the bible) and did know her mom's name was Nancy. No last name on the bible but someone put Nancy McGregor on another info. I've got alot of records on those I mentioned. Still trying to get back farther in family history for Mary MacGregor (but you just gave us "Neil and Nancy Brooks". I found other info on their children though. Two other sons were married and one listed the mom as Nancy Stooks. The second son listed mom as Nancy Stuek. That is what I have. I took a long few year from geneology

YOU FOUND HIM? YOU SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY FOUND JOHN HENRY'S ROBINSON'S BIRTH AND PLACE? Sorry to yell for joy if that is the case. We haven't been able to find him. Only suspicions. My dad has a line that he thinks is the truth but he lacks the evidence that goes with family research. I only have hard core stuff that is barely there. Like a census record in Manistique, Schoolcraft County, Michigan shows him as "being born at sea" and from "Irish/Eng". Tht surprised me because the rest were Scots in Ontario. He was rumored to have another wife and kids left behind in Canada when he left to get married to Mary Ann Young. Do you know how that story came about? I've never been able to connect this guy. We have to be related. You have the same family members. I'm slowly putting the information that I collected years ago on here.
