Surnames: Woodward /Simpson
This is my GGGrandad born in Tewskbury in 1832 ish (no proof yet) he spent most of his life( Died in 1892)living and working in Derby he was a Locomotive train engine driver, Married to Eleanor Simpson(no proof yet) they had 12 children and I am connected through their Daughter Fanny(my G Granny) I should like to find charles's marriage and more of his parents Etc any one able to help cos I'm floundering.....thanks Mu Ludlow

This is from the 1881 census. Either there is a mis-transcription of Eleanor's age, or she was a second wife (i.e. not the mother of Fanny):

Do you have Fanny's birth certificate, confirning her mother's name (incl. maiden name)?

If not, this one might be a possibility:

Sorry for the delay in replying , but thanks ....no mistake the Eleanor born in Burton was their daughter who was wife to the chap called Coulson the lodger infact charles wife died after giving birth to the last child again Many thanks. Mu
