I am in Van Buren County, Arkansas, U.S.A. In 1623 My ancestors Edmond Farrington, his wife, and two sons left England on the ship "hopewell", and arrived in New England in August of that year. They settled in Lynn, MA., and were
"Puritans". I have a record of this in my bible. My mother's maiden name was Farrington. Same last name, same year, could be interesting. We have been unable to trace lineage any farther back in time. Question.....Do twins run in your family? there have been several sets of twins in ours, on the Farrington side.....Hope this is helpfull to you.
Good luck, and contact me if you wish.

Hi Penny, I am very interested in Farrington's that migrated south. I have looked at the Edmund Farrington and cannot make a connection. My trail begins in N.C. in 1790 with E.F. Farrington, my gg grandfather. He migrated to Georgia, but lived for a time in Alabama. His widow and two sons migrated to Alabama and my family has been there since. I am from California. My maiden name is Farrington. Yes, there are twins in my Farrington family. My daughter has fraternal twins and my g grandfather and wife had twins. There are other twins, but I have no idea the genetics of twins.
Please send me your email and maybe we have mutually helpful information. Thanks, Barbara Farrington Thomas

Bob, I have basic information for you. My husband's family is from Olney England. I have recently been working on the family tree with the basic information passed along by his mother.
You can find a lot of info on :
http://xenia.media.mit.edu
Look for Edmund Farrington 1588-1670
I John was one of the son's and according to the information on Edmund and his offspring, one of John's son's seems to have been indicted twice in the Salem Witch Trials. This was news to us also!
My husband's family is from Edmund's son Matthew.
If you can not find this info I would be happy to mail you a copy. Please reply to my email address and I will get back with you. I have run into some dead ends but there is a lot of info out there on the Farringtons and I'll help as much as I can with what I have found.

There is a lot of info on the internet. send me a email to : rcmeneley@comcast.net and I will give you what I have, going back farther would require a trip to England I believe.

Surnames: Farrington Langridge
Hi, I have a book called the Farrington legacy. it was mailed to me from Lynn Nolin who works for the PO in MI. She is deaf and so she sent me a picture. I think I spoke to a friend on the phone because she can't hear.
i find that interesting because Gr-Gr Grandma Mary Farrington who married Henry Langridge was deaf illiterate and a washwoman. Then their daughter Rose Langridge marr Burr Brooks in St Clair Co MI and their son Alvin was deaf; but do not know for how many years he was deaf.
Also, James Farrington is mary's Father and he had twins
and my Dad Edward Abel had twins and my Dad's cousin
Gordon Brooks had twins.
I could copy what I have of the Farrington Legacy then you can write Lynn for more info.
I am interested in the Langridge line. There are Farringtons on the Cherokee roles. It seems some OH Farrington girl married and went south AL. Also, there are other Farringtons on the Indian roles (Cherokee) in OK.
I have a story also of a Farrington here in OH. with a picture.
Want to know if Langridge and Farrington marr on Long Is
Lynn MA or MI or Canada.
