There is a book on the Bowdoin family found in the Monroe Co., Ga. library the first issue of the Bowdoin family history, written by U. Bowdoin Marsh, born Sept 11, 1919, frm Coffee County, Ala. copyright 1982. This book has data all the way back to when Pierre Bauduoin came to the USA early 1600's. It states as being northern branch southern branch of Bowdoin's with numorous William Bowdoin's noted.

I know about the Bowdoin U March book...don't take everything in it as the true fact...there many mistakes in it. We have contacted the auther and corrected some mistakes we found and he is aware of them. the book as it states is a a copy of his extensive research any probable assumptions not ment to be used as true and factual but as a help in your own search. I hope that this helps clear up any problem you may have with it. as for me I am lookin for proff of my own generated facts.
