We are working on our family tree and have traced the Caplettes back to a Napolean Caplette. He and his wife Elmira Duclos are from Canada we think. They came to the states in the early 1900's. The children are Annette, Rita, Roland, Raymond, Antonio, Sylvio adn Albert. We certainly appreciate any help!

My mother is a Caplette from Millbury, Massachusetts. There are two persons in my family tree named Joseph-Napoleon Caplette, both of whom would fit the time frame you are looking for. If you could be more specific as to actual dates of birth, marriage or death, I might have some information for you.

Hello there,

I have a cousin who is married to a descendant of Antonio Caplette. If you'd be so kind, please contact me directly and I'll provide all of the details. I'm sorry to say that Antonio or Tony as he was called passed away only a few days ago.
His obituary appeared in the electronic version of the Springfield, MA papers on February 20, 2005.

Lawrence,

I didn't see any reply to your response. Although the Caplette family is not directly related to me, I have a cousin who married into the Caplette family. As a result, I have something of an interest if only indirectly.

The Napoleon Caplette referred to by Michael and Kelli in the original message is the son of J Baptiste Caplette and Delia Lavalle and was born about 1878 in Canada according to the 1910 Southbridge, MA census.

Ironically, I also have a Gosselin connection through the marriage of Elizabeth Gosselin( Vermont) and Louis Robinson from Canada.
