I believe I have a match . I have a family tree that begins with Samuel Currey from Belfast Ireland d. 1729. Landed in Boston settled in Chester County Pennsylvania - moved to N Carolina. He had 3 sons. Samuel, Ezekial and John. I'm thinking the man you are referring to is either from the Ezekial or John lines. I'm related through the Samuel line. I have extensive info on Samuel and limited on the other two. If you think this is a match let me know. I'll let you know what I do.

Angeline is my great great grandmother. She married Mortimer Lawler (pretty sure). They had two children. Alonzo Lawler and Truman Lawler. Truman Lawler married twice. His first wife Zanie Scranage died giving birth to twins on May 12 1903. Twins were named Romulus and Remus though Remus changed his name to Romeo. There is a book on this branch of the family that Truman wrote if you need some lookups let me know. Romulus is my Grandfather.

My branch starts with Perry, Angeline's brother. my great grandmother was Florence (Currey) Smith of Spencer.

I've been finding a TON of Knight info on back to the 1600's STILL in US, and Elders back to Ireland, will be glad to share at least sources online and as much info as I can.

Since I switched to XP my old s/w program isn't working right.

Hi, Holly.
I can't remember if I had already emailed you direct or not. While I was looking at the latest posting, I saw yours again.
I would like to know what you have on John Currey.
Is there a way to send me some info so I can see if there's a match? Possibly you have a wife's name or sons and daughters that are listed? You can email me direct if you would like. Just make sure to put Currey in the subject so i don't accidently delete it. If there's a match on John, then I have a ton of info for you, if you would like it.

Let me know.

Thanks.
Bob

Hi, Janet.

Nice to meet you. My line runs down Perry Currey's line. I have quite a bit of info I am willing to share if you don't already have it. Are you aware of the little, blue covered book on the History of the Currey family by Truman Lawler?

I have a copy that was passed down to me. I have been entering all of the info in the Family Tree program, exporting out to MS Word doc and making a PDF of it.

Let me know if you have this book or information. You can email me direct if you would like, just put the word Currey in the subject so I don't accidentally delete it as spam.

Thanks for the response.

I am a descendant of John Currey's son John who married Elizabeth Greathouse.

John Currey married Elizabeth Greathouse, son Michael G. Curry. I don't know if they had other children. This is a brick wall of mine.

Michael G. Curry married Mary (last name unknown, possibly Abbett). Children by Mary: Loretta, Flavius, and Everett. He had a second wife Sarah (Williams) and their children were Virginia, Michael E. and Mary. Michael G. and his children lived in Miller County, MO. Michael is buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Miller County.

Loretta Curry married Benjamin Franklin Birdsong. They had 11 children. I am a great great granddaughter of Loretta.

I am interested in the little blue book called "History of the Currey Family" by Truman Lawler. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it?

I just started researching the Currys so I would appreciate any info that could be shared with me and will be glad to share what I have.

Hi, Danette.
You are from John's leg and I am from his brother Jonathan's leg.
I have a copy of the Currey book by Lawler, and I have copied almost all of the information into Family Tree Maker. I am not complete yet with the rest of my family, so I have not put my history on Ancestry's website yet.

I do have a lot of info, and can send you a PDF of what I have via email if you would like me to. Hope to hear from you soon.

I am in Northeast Ohio.

Bob

There is a copy of Truman's book at the library in Fairmont. I copied some pages out of it.
A book called Curry/Currey Connections. Starts with John and Eleanor Welsh Currey.
My line is from their daughter Catherine Currey who married John W.Goodwin.
A copy of this book is at the Grafton Library. I also have a copy of this.
