I am researching my family line and having an exremely hard time beings the family name is documented like a million different ways. If anyone else is researching the McDaniels' or a name as shown above. Please contact me. I have gone so far as Willis "Willie, or Grandfather MAC" McDaniels, who is also named Daniel or in some cases McDaniel, b. about 1825 and lived in Selma, Johnston County, NC. He married a Nancy or Carolina Raines or Rains who was born about 1843 also in NC. Their son William R, was b. 1880 and married Anna or Annie Pearce or Peirce. Their son is my grandfather and would really love to get information on this line.

I think you're looking in the wrong county. From what I can see, Willis Daniel lived in northern Sampson County and migratred to the Pikeville area of Wayne County. I'll email the census records to your gmail address.
