Rutland genealogy

I just moved to Rutland and was surprise to find there is no genealogy society. I would be interest in meeting other researchers in Rutland to share and trade ideas.
The Family History library south of Rutland would be a handy place to meet. They are open from 10 am to 1pm on Tuesday and Thursday morning. They have resourses, internet, tables, and chairs. Meeting with other reseachers is helpful as we can share new internet resources, help each other brainstorm ideas for brick walls, help each other with software, etc.
The public library could be another idea. I am open to suggestion. I will be at the Family History center Thursday May 9th. Hope so see you there. Bring your lap top.

Hi,
Yes, I have been there. I met some very nice people. They are only open one evening a week and genealogy is only a small part of their mission. They fill obit requests when they can. There is no extra space there.
