Seeking information on Mary Elizabeth Willis or her children. Mary Elizabeth Willis married William J Kelley in Greene Co. Tennessee on Dec. 24, 1882. George Willis is listed as a bondsman. She died before the 1900 census. William J and Mary Elizabeth had 7 children.

Believe she may be the daughter of Hugh Willis and Malinda Stanton, but not sure. On 1900 census Malinda is listed as a widow with 10 children, of which 5 were still living. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching WILLIS, Dedrich (1823) who lived in Ruggles Twp, Ashland, OH at the 1880 USFC. Married to Sarah A __?__, (1828), both (& both parents of each) b. PA.
Their children on 1880 census were: Dedrich W(1861), George W(1862), Mary E(1867), Sarah A(1869) and Hattie J(1872) -- all born in OH.
Dedrich & Sarah were allegedly my maternal G-Grandparents, but I haven't found reliable sources. Do have a family photo of BROWN, Jonas (m. Sarah Ann

The parents of Dedrich William Willis are are Henry Willis of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (1784 - 1870), and Susanna Louise Deshong (1790 - 1872), according to a family Bible at the Ashland library. Henry's father is Joseph Willis of Earl Township, Lancaster County (source: records of the Cocalico Reformed Church, Ephrata Township). DNA testing has shown that Dedrich is descended from Henry Willis of Long Island (1628 - 1714).
