William( 1764-1832) and Sarah Clark Roby, (1764-1835) were parents of: Tabitha, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Elizabeth, Clark, Michael, and Susannah Roby. The children were born in Ohio, but I do not know where William and Sarah were born. The daughter, Susannah, b. 1805, d. 1891, married John Chambers and moved to Boone Co.,IN. If you have info about any of these Roby's, I sure would like to hear from you. They are in my direct family line.

My grandfather, Frank Roby, do not have dob on hand but can get it. Died in early 1940's, in Sellersburg, IN. Had son Wilbur killed in action WW1. Daughters, Daisy B. and Agnes Mabel(Dolly). My grandfather changed the spelling to Ruby, as everyone kept calling them that. This is all the info I have on this linage. Would very much like to know more about his history, origin of Roby name. William Roby is a son of Pryor Smallwood Robey and was born in Charles Co., MD. His wife Sarah, is a daughter of Abraham Clark and Sarah Badgley. They had 8 children as you have listed. I can trace his ancestry back to a John Roby born in 1455 in England.

Would your Roby's connect with William Roby Sr. b. 1696 Md. he was the father of my Lawrence Roby b. 1739 Charles Co. Md. I also have Clark's starting with Benjamin Clark b. abt. 1734 ??
