U S Military Registers Army (Part 1)

U S Military Registers Army (Part 1)

When keying the military dates on this project, I have been using only dates that have day, month and year.
However, some of the entries, especially relating to schools, have the latest year, but no day or month. There are other entries that show day, month and year, and underneath there is an entry with only a day and month shown. I have been keying the only the latest dates that have a day, month and year. Now I am wondering if I am doing it right. The first question in about the Eskridge listing, and the second listing contains an example relating to the second question, although in this case there is a later date shown, sometimes this isn't the case. I hope this all makes sense. Thanks, Joe

I think I would key 1911 for the date on the first individual.

The second example would have been sep 22 08 except that he was comm 1 Jun 09 so Jun 1 09 would be the date.

Thanks for the response Karen. I have been doing it wrong in both instances. Looks like I will have to change my ways.

There are dates in the third column that don't show on the pic you attached. You will probably find a later date in that third column that should be the one you key.
