Thought I'd answer my own query:
After some research and thought....think CLOVIAN may be OLIVE....married to William THOMAS. "OLIVE" probably married to a MELTON or MILTON first..then married William THOMAS in 1843 who was married before. William may have had two children previous to marriage to "OLIVE": Clingman and Elvira (on 1850 census). "OLIVE" previously married to a MELTON or MILTON and may have had son GILBERT MELTON or MILTON who was living in the household of Samuel Queen and wife Nancy in 1850 census, Rabun Co., GA. Will try to get to the courthouse in Rabun to look at this deed again and see if "CLOVIAN" appears to be "OLIVE" instead. The original deed is very faded and hard to read, so I could have made a mistake.

Also, John Thomas is almost surely husband of Caroline Queen, daughter of William Queen and Mary Ann Patton Queen and grand-daughter of old Samuel. A John Thomas is married to Caroline Queen on 11 Jun 1843, Rabun Co., GA

Caleb,
I am doing some extensive research on my husband's families who include, but are not limited to, the descendants of M. F. Jiles and Mary Caroline Taylor, and most of the last names you've included in your query: Wall, Page, York, Moore, Gaines, Welborn, just to name a few.

Anyone interested in these names may contact me directly at: dragonflies8@msn.com with the name of the family you are interested in, in the subject line, or check out my most recently updated tree: Not Just a Tree- A Forest here on ancestry.

Sincerely,
Mary "Candi" Carter
