I'm looking for relatives of Frederick Woodhull Greer married to Sally Dunson. It is rumored one of their children, Fannie Greer, had a Cherokee roll number. I am trying to establish Native American ancestry for my husband whose grandfather, Gus Sim Greer, was Fannie's brother. I am unsure if the Cherokee ancestry came through Frederick or Sally. Any help is appreciated.

Thank your for your response. I will have to check with my husband's family to see if these are familiar names. Aunt Fannie, as I mentioned earlier, was said to have had a Cherokee roll number although her brother, Gus Sim (my husband's grandfather), did not. I'm not sure whether the indian blood came through their father or mother. I'll get back with you when I have add'l info. Thanks again, Hayley. : )

Hello I'm sorry to say I do not know where I fit in this picture. I think the genes are so far off where I do not even exist in your family. But possibilities extist so I am not sure.

Steven, here is the e-mail of my cousin in San Diego who has worked up a very extensive tree on my grandmother and all her siblings AND her mother and father and their siblings and offspring. We may find where you belong after all.
Her name is Karen Salcido
Tell her Ali sent you.

Good luck!

Hi, somehow I was connected to your message board. At the time I was researching the Folsom name/heritage. Where do you fall on that line? Our ancestry, from what I gather, is of Native American background. It is very mysterious if you ask me. At any rat I would like to know my forebears. I'll be around.
