Hello I'm looking for the decendants of Noah Smithwick whos book "Evolution of a State" is famous. I would like to find where he is Buried. What's the Name of the Cemetery he's buired. and possibly trade some info found in Bastrop Texas. Sincerely, James D. Gray

Hi, I have Noah's death date has 21 Oct. 1897
in Santa Ana,Calif. I'm looking to see if in
my files I have where he is buried. Hope this

hello, thankyou for the reply, are you a decendant of his? If you know the name of the cemetary I will Photograph the headstone for you as I live about 45 mins. away from Santa Anna Calif. My Grays served In Tumlinson Rangers and lived in Bastrop at the same time as Noah, although they are not mentioned in his book. While researching I have come across some documents of Noah smithwick that I have made copies. I look forward to hearing from you. sincerely, James D. Gray

Hi, Noah's grandfather Edmondson was the brother to Edmondson Edward and that is the line my husband is off of. I don't know where
Noah is buried. If you find out will you please share. If I find out I'll let you know. JoAnne

I will let you know if I find the grave. Hey Did Noah have any brothers and sisters in Texas at the time of his Book he does't mention any. Thanks Again Jim

I'm not sure who was in Tex. at the time he wrote the book. I haven't research Tex. yet.
I'm still in NC and Tenn. Don't get lost I'll

James, my great-great-great grandfather was Edmond Smithwick who was from Martin Co., N.C.. I believe he was related to Noah but I have not made the connection. I would see the documents you've collected on Noah while he lived in Bastrop.

According to William Doub Bennett in his book "Hugh Smithwick Descendants" Noah's line goes like this: Hugh, Edward, Edmund, his grandfather Edmundson Edward who married Eleanor Brown, his father Edward who married Dicey Bennett.
