I have many ancestors with the last name Zakrzewski who were/are from CT, particularly New Britain. My great-grandfather, Wladyslaw Zakrewski was married to Apolonia Bielski. They lived on Market Street and Smalley Street at various times.

Their children were Anges, Helen, Irene, Alexandra (Elsie), Joseph, Sophie (Sally), Frank (my grandfather), Anthony, Stanley, Pauline, and Laura. Some of the family kept the original last name, but many changed it... some to Zak (or Zack), some to Yacheski, and some to Chesky, like my grandfather Frank.

Hope this helps.

Frank

My great grandfather Felix Zakrzewski was born around 1888 and he was from Queens. I understand he had a sibling/siblings with several children. I believe they moved to CT around the 1950's or so. Do you think they could be brothers?
