my greatgreatgrandfather was listed as a tinker,black smith and basket weaver,he came to the states in 1861 his name was william stewart if i can help let me know sincerely charla

We are for the bloodline of Stewarts who were from the border of Scotland and Engaldn, and later Necastle-upon-Tyne
Some of our ancestors names were Septimus, Issac, James, John, Shadrack & possibly Nelson. PLease forward info possible, cheersmuchly and take care!

Hi!
I have just begun a search for gg grandfather Thomas Stewart - married to Isabella (?). Thomas was born :Newcastle upon Tyne about 1839. His sons were born in Easington, Durham were James, Henry, Emmerson,Charley, Issac one daughter Isabella. In 1891 Thomas was a lamp maker.

I an trying to research a duncan and Janet Stewart who are classified as tinkers in Scotland
In 1832 at Perth court Janet was tried for murder of Duncans brother David and in doing so was transported to Australia for life, she and duncan had 4 kids
