My grandfather, Israel Geschwind, and his wife Itte, were killed in Mielec in 1942. Israel was an American citizen who came to America in 1913, but went back to Mielec, Poland in the late 1920's or early 1930's.

Dear Mister Geschwind,

In my family tree, I have Israel Geschwing married to Itte Komito.
Itte Komito is the sister of the grandfather of my husband.
Do you have more information about your family in Mielec ?

Best regards

Patricia

I was born right outside of Mielec in 1962, so I have an avid interest in Mielec history. I recently read two interesting books that were written exclusively about the Jewish Mielec experience.

I Rest My Case by Mark Verstandig

Mielec. Poland by Rochelle G Saidel

These books are very informative. I highly recommend them.
