I'm sorry I can't answer your question as I am new to DULIN research , but do you happen to know anything about an EDWARD DULIN b. 29 April 1802, Fauquier Co., VA ? He m. Sarah Diltz 1825 in Ohio.

I would like to know his father's name. Also, names of his children, if any.
Thank you in advance for any response. Joyce

Sorry back to you (that's a joke). I have not tried to pull a lot information about Dulin family, because I am not 100% sure Ihave Dulin ancestry through my Ball line.

If you are looking for a Edward Dulin born 1802 in Fauquier Co. VA, the head of household listed on the 1810 census were:

Charles, Edward, George, George Jr., John Jr. & John Sr.

The George Dulin married after the birth year of your Edward Dulin. Two marriages you might want to look at:

Edward Dulin Jr. & Lucy Cox 15 Jun 1801
John Dulin Jr. & Sally Payne 13 Dec 1796

There was a Wm. Dulin who married in Fauquier Co. VA on 18 Apr 1795 to Charlotte Flourance. Not listed as head of household.

Perhaps you can contact some Cox & Payne researchers, who might have information about Dulin leaving for OH.

You should really try to find your couple in OH first, before doing a lot of research in Fauquier Co. VA.

There was a Edward Dulin who purchased land located in Campbell Co. .....?(state not given) from Wm. & his wife Elizabeth Dulin all living in Fauquier Co. VA probated 25 Apr 1807.

The L.D.S. libary does have some family histories dealing with the Dulin family.

Good luck with your research.

P.S. your Dulin was about 75 years younger than my mystery Dulin woman. She would have been the grandchild of the emigrate James Dooling/Dulin.

Beginning with Rhoda Dulin Mitchell (Mrs Edward Mitchell) who was my gr gr grandmother b. 1836, my line goes back to Edward Dulin b. 1802, son of Lewis Dulin b. 1772 and Ann Reed. He was the son of William Dulin b. 1749 and Elizabeth Stone. He was son of William Dulin b. 1720 and Clemence Ball. Now I am not sure and have had no luck getting a answer about this . . . Was this William the son of William Dulin b. 1688 or Robert Duling b. 1686. Most records say he was the son of William b. 1688.

I have a lot of information about these Dulin's even a transript of an land purchase between one of these William's and George Washington. Also a lease with Lord Fairfax. I do have much more and would gladly share if you are interested.

Mary Dulin (sister of Lewis) b.1776 is my GGGGGM. She married Bryant Jeffries in 1799 in Fauquier VA. Does anyone know when she died and where she is buried? References are made to Canal Winchester, Fairfield OH but I have not been able to produce anything solid. Bryant remarried a Rebecca. They are buried in Jackson, Jones IA.

I would like to take Marlene up on her offer to share the William Dulin info. I have fair info on the Jeffries in IA but would like to know more about the Dulins of VA.

Thank you.

I am interested in the Dulin family. My great grandfather married an Adelaide Dulin. His last name was Joseph Plum. Does anyone have any information on the Dulins from Fauquier County or Rappahannock County. Please e-mail me @ johnluttrell22@comcast.net or call 1-540-722-9196
