My great-grandmother was named Sadie Yarosz, and she was from Zyznow, Galicia. Could there be a connection? Can you tell me where Zyznow is located in Poland? She married Frank Novak, and the only child I know of is Mary or Maryanna Novak, my grandmother, who was born in 1889 in Galicia.

I now know that my grandmother had a sister named Josefa.

my great grandfather Stanislaw Jarosz was born there. His parents were Adalbert /Wojciech Jarosz and Mary Wieszczek. Adalberts parents were Joseph Jarosz and Reginar Korab! Maybe your Reginar Jarosz is sister to Adalbert?
We also had a John Yarosz, a cousin married late 1930's in NJ, maybe Elizabeth, NJ

Re: Jagielski-Jarosz of Zyznow AND Urban?

I started doing some research for my Polish side. The Urban side came from Zyznow. My great grandfather Stanley Urban 1886 settled in Manville, NJ. There were brothers Jakob Urban 1880 and Franc Urban 1882. The parents were John Urban and Agatha? I also did a search on Ellisisland.org and found Michael, Dominick, Apolonia and Marianne Urban from Zyznow also. I did recognize the name Wieszczek. Some of the Wiesczeks travelled with Jakob Urban to the US on the ships manifest. I think it was Michal - 17 yrs old, Stanislav - 24 yrs old, and Maryanne Wieszczek - 22yrs old Some of the ships manifests are difficult to read though. The manifest from 1898 looked like Maryannes sponsor was brother in law Jan or Jon Urban maybe Jos Urban in South Amboy, NJ. Same sponsor for Jakob. Stanislave sponsor was Uncle Kazimierz(looked like an H instead) Urban. Michals sponsor was Aug.??? Urban. Apolonia Urban immigrated in 1902 with Stanislave Wieszczek - 43 yrs old, Maryanna 23 yrs and Maryanna 20 yrs old and Maryanna Skora 17 yrs old. Sponsor was Tekla Wieszczek?
