Looking for any descendants of Theophile Perret who lived in St. John the Baptist Parish, married to Mathile St. Martin, once owned Whitney Plantation.

I am also a decedant of Theophile. My grand father sold Whitney in 1947.

Théophile Perret was the son of Drausin Perret (1797-1834) & Louise Perret (1806-1865).

Drausin was son of Alphonse Perret II (1757-1818) and Eléonore Madeleine Bossier (1772-1817).

Louise was the dau of Judge Charles Perret (1768-1849) and Louise D'Arensbourg (1768-1840).

Théophile married Mathilde Marie St. Martin dau of Pierre Auguste St. Martin + Célèste Gustavie D'Arensbourg

Hi I am amber Matherne Gordon, originally from laPlace. Theophile Perret was my great great great grandfather through his Daughter Mathilda who married Henry Tassin. their son ( george) sidney tassin to my grand mother Lise tassin Matherne.

I have done research on Theophile Perret and published several articles about him in Les Voyageurs,of the German-Acadian Coast Historical and Genealogical Society. I am a descendent through his daughter Mathilde Perret and George Henri Tassin, and their son, Charles.
Theophile spent 4 years at St. Joseph College in Bardstown, KY from age 12 to 16, then 1 1/2 year at Georgetown in D.C.
