Have various families sorted out, mostly lived in St Paul, MN. Came in late 1800's and early 1900's from the Pian di Priete, Tribogna area, north of Genoa.

John Bacigalupo came from Italy in 1851 and settled in Ramsey MN. I know of one son, Paul Dominic Baci who married Mary Elizabeth and moved to Bedford TN. Contact me if you want more info on that line. Sorry, I haven't found anymore about the Ramsey Bacigalupos.

Ok, there is a bit of confusion here. I was wrong about John moving to Ramsey. However, there is record of a John Augustine Bacigalupo that came to the U.S. in 1851 and moved to Ramsey in 1854. But, the John Augustine Bacigalupo (born 1811) that came from Italy moved to Augusta GA in 1844. He had a son, John Augustine Bacigalupo Jr. that came to the U.S. to be with his father "later" (based on story on old family manuscript). I am guessing the MN records are for John Jr. instead of John Sr.

Was the John Augustine Jr an Agostino who lived in St Paul in late 1800's?

From what I can tell (double check me on this, Ancestry has MN census records on file) John Augustine Jr. moved to Ramsey (at least thats where he was according to 1854 MN immagration reports) and stayed there. It would be my guess that the Augustino of St. Paul would be a son. However, this is speculation. I'll look into it in the next couple of days

Hi,

Am trying to track a Felice Bacigalupo from the Genoa, Italy area who emmigrated to St. Paul. It's a little confusing as there appears to be two of them from about the same time (b. roughly 1881). One married a Louise (Luigia) and I have found ship records and census records (It looks like he changed his name to Phillip). The other supposedly married a Maria (found one ship's record but not much in the censuses) and had a son Joseph Carmelo Bacigalupo. He is my wife's grandfather. Joseph's death record (1996) lists Corsiglia as mother's maiden name. That Felice is the one I'm interested in. Do you have any info or can you point me to records here? Thanks.

Yes - there is a bit of confusion here - John Augustine Bacigalupo who was b 1811 and came to Augusta, GA 1841 was my gg-gf. He came from GA to Davidson Co., TN. His three sons from Italy came over in 1853 - Augustine (Gus) remained in Davidson Co, TN until his death. John Battiste moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and raised a large family. Joseph disappeared as a very young man and was never heard from again. In over 64 years of being part of this family and over 40 years of research I have never heard of any of them going to MN.

John and Amanda's son, Paul Dominic was my g-gf who md Mary Elizabeth Grantham - they lived in Donelson, Davidson Co., TN until early 1900's when they moved to Bedford Co., TN.

If you need more info on this family, let me know.
