Texas Molines and Minnesota Molines

Texas Molines and Minnesota Molines

Does anybody know if there is a relation between a line of Moline family members in Texas and another line of Molines in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area? I had added a line of Texas-based Molines to the paternal side of my tree recently after collaborating with another user who is a common relative. Last night while researching one of my maternal lines, I came across a David Robert Moline, who married Coleen Marie Liesenfeld (Coleen is listed as my 2nd cousin 1x removed).

I normally only track blood relatives, so I normally wouldn't give much thought into researching David Robert Moline. However, Moline doesn't seem to be nearly as common a name (at least in my part of the country) as your run-of-the-mill Smith, Jones, Johnson, etc. Actually, it seems to be about as common as my own last name (Zane), which is believed to have only one unique family with the name and two other families that changed their surname to Zane when they came to America. I therefore have to wonder if there is any relation between this David Robert Moline and a Moline family that has been in the St. Paul area for several generations.

I am researching the Minnesota Moline family that lives in Benson, Minnesota. The patriarch is Ole Moline from Sweden. He was born 1862 and immegrated to the US in about 1873 or 4. His wife, also from Sweden was Ellen or Tina Ellen Hansen. We will be going to Minnesota in a couple of weeks. We don''t have any conection to Texas that I know.
