New to this site, but my husband has quite a bit of information on the Ridgeway family. Most of this information is on Ridgeways from Arkansas and those decendents from Virginia. Some are from as far back as Ireland. Will check this daily. DRG

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Robert Lee Ridgeway. He went by Lee, and was born June 1, 1871 in Hickman, Fulton, Kentucky. I believe his father was William A. Ridgeway and mother was Sarah Aldridge Burnett but am not sure. Robert Lee was married to Cora Belle Israel on January 21, 1894 in Walnut Ridge, Yell, Arkansas. I would be interested in any information on Ridgeways from Arkansas. My great grandfather, August Hasselman, married a woman, Jewell Ridgeway in Hot Springs. She died there in 1913 and he died in 1917. I have no other information other than she may have been previously married to someone with the name Freemont.

I remember as a young girl in the mid 1960's that my father told me about August, who married a woman named Jewell, moved to Arkansas, and became lost from the family. I had written down that information as a 12 year old. My sister has worked extensively with the family tree, and we have the Hasselman line back into Germany. I have always wondered about the mystery of August and Jewell.
