I'm looking for possible descendents of Thomas Armstrong B/3/28/1793 Beaver Dam Creek, Warren Co., Ky. D/4/13/1878 Ritchey, Newton Co., Mo. married 10/16/1817 Warren Co., Ky.Elenor Collier B/1801 Warren Co., Ky. D/Unk Ritchey,
Newton Co., Mo. They had 11 children-Thad B/1819, George B/1821,Eudora B/1825, John B/1826,Rufus B/1826 D/1912 Newton Co., Mo., James B/1829,Sarah B/1833,Rebecca B/1835, Mary B/1837, Millie B/1839, Thomas H.B. B/1842 Ritchey, Newton Co., Mo. D/Abt 1889 Newton Co., Mo.

Found reference in my Mothers'Bible to Thomas Armstrong's
burial place. She wrote many years ago that Thomas was buried On Rufus Easton Armstrong's farm about 2 1/2 miles
west of Ritchey,Newton County,Mo. on Armstrongs'Bluff. Also, Rufus E. Armstrong buried Van Buren Cemetery,Newton County,Mo.

I would like to thank the Newton County Mo. Query Forum for helping me contact and meet my cousin Sue Lucht of Nebraska.
Now, I'm trying to find my 2nd g,grandfather James Armstrong B/Abt. 1829 Madison Co., Ill. D/3/29/1870 Newton Co., Mo. He married 1847 Newton Co., Mo. Sarah Emily Suliphen B/1829 Wabash Co., Ill. D/12/26/1870 Newton Co., Mo. Children: 1.William H. B/2/10/1848 Wabash Co., Ill. D/2/19/1942 Checotah, Ok.(my 1st g,grandfather)married Mary Katherine Moore. 2.George R. B/1849 Wabash Co., Ill.3.Lander B/1852 Wabash Co., Ill.4.Prescilla B/1854 Wabash Co., Ill.5.Harvilla B/1855 Wabash Co.,Ill.
6.Marshall B/1857 Wabash Co., Ill. 7.Charles B/1859 Wabash Co., Ill.
James Armstrong was a farmer

This is all I know about my g,grandfather James Armstrong but would like to have contact with others of this line, and more information.
My g,grandfather William H. death certificate lists James as his father, and was in Newton Co., Mo.

Greetings, I am a decendent of Thomas Armstrong through Rufus E Armstrong. Here is what I have on the Armstrong family of Newton County. Thomas was born according to my info 1793 in Virginia. His father was Joshua Armstrong. Thomas married Elenor Collier and they had eight children
Eudora N. born about 1822 Madison, IL
Rufus E. 16 OCT 1826, Madison IL
James M; Sarah E.; Rebecca E.; Mary J.; (do not know dates)
Millie F. born about 1839 in MO;
Thomas H.B. born about 1842 in MO
Rufus married Nancy Hudson who was the daughter of Moses Hudson and Susan Yates. Nancy died in 1861. Rufus and Nancy had five kids all born in Granby, Newton County, MO
James M. b 1850; John C. b 1851; Aaron A. b 1853;
Mary E. b 1858; Francis E. b 5 FEB 1861
Francis married John E. York. This is the line I am decendent from.
