Funeral services for Fonda Nicole Batiste Wilkerson, 28, of Bay City, and formerly of Houston, will be Saturday, November 18, 2000 at 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 300 First Street in Van Vleck, with the Rev. Ruben Nowell officiating.
Burial will follow at East View Cemetery in Bay City.
Nicole was born April 20, 1972 in Houston, to the union of Gary Smith and Sarah Batiste. She attended school in Houston. On Tuesday, November 14, 2000, her life came to a close.
She is survived by: husband, Barry Wilkerson; two daughters, Felecia Nicole and Prisilla Antoinette, of Bay City, one one, Colin Trace also of Bay City; her parents, Sarah and Eddie Richardson of Bay City and Gary and Margaret Smith of Houston; grandparents, Clarence and Madolia Batiste of Houston, and Ruby Phillips of Houston; brothers, Charles, Terrance, Nathan, Gary, and Ryan, all of Houston: mother-in-law, Jean Dale Williams of Houston; grandmother-in-law, Connie Brooks of Bay City; uncle, Clarence and Megan Batiste of Alief and a host of other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers will be John Brinkley, Gary Smith, Jr., Nathan Smith, Robert Johnson, Ryan Smith, Thomas Battle, and Thomas Swist.
Honorary pallbearers are to be Gary Smith, Sr., Eddie Richardson, Sr., Terrance Batiste, Clarence Batiste, Sr., Charles House, Jr., and Clarence Batiste, Jr.
The family requests that donations may be made to Fonda (Niki) Wilkerson benefit fund: 0618282925 in care of Sara Batiste.

My condolences to the family. I spent only a brief while in bay city and ran across this most amazing beautiful lady, I looked for her for years after i left bay city and often wondered what happened to her. my heart is so saddened by this news.rest in peace princess.
