Hi, My family came from Tipperary Ireland Thomas(William) O'Brien married Catherine Toomey in 1847. They had three children May b.1848 Timothy b.1852 and one on the ship comeing here to Alameda Co, in 1850's> They live in San Leandro and had more children Ellen b.1857 John b. 1860 my g-grandmother Mary b. 1863 James b.1857 Thomas b. 1859 Patrick b. 1865 William b. 1868. My grandfather work for the Peralta family he was a blacksmith. Thank You.

I am searching for my unknown grandmother (who is Irish) her last name was O'brien and lived in Alameda, CA where she gave birth to a child. She gave that child (my mother) up for adoption and the father is unknown. I do not know the first name, do you have any more information that could be of use? I realize there are a lot of O'Brien s in Alameda who are Irish but I am just investigating and any leads would be helpful.
