Looking for information about the descendents of Manuel Silveira VICTORINO (Vitorino) who was born abt. mid 1890s in Rosais, Sao Jorge, Azores. He was the son of Maria Luisa Iria. He had 2 sisters, Mary and Adriana da Silveira and a brother Jose Silveira Vitorino. He married Angela (???). They lived in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. and were likely the parents of four sons (Manuel, Antonio, Joseph, & John) and two daughters (Grace & Evelyn).

Also researching the Bettencourt, Rosa & Sousa families from Sao Jorge.

Hi Joe. My Victorino family is from Rosais, Sao Jorge, Azores. I have a quite extensive lineage from there. If you would like, I can send you the family history that I have and see if there is a connection. You just may be a cousin! Also where I live, (CA) we have a very large Bettencourt family that has settled here from the Azores. Let me know if I can help.

Hi there.
I don't know if this is of help to anyone but I have a Victorino in my line born in Rosais. My great grandfather Manuel Victorino de Oliveira. He was married to Ana Rosalina do Carmo (also from Rosais).
My grandmother was Laura da Conceicao (Oliveira) da Cunha and she married Antonio Silveira da Cunha Jr.
I would be very interested in any information available.
I wish I had more to share but I'm just starting my search on this line.

I am looking for my Bettencourt family who settled in MA and CA. I know that they all came in through the east some continued to CA and some of the same family stayed in MA. I have a Theodmiro Machado Soares, Eugenio Machado Soares' brother, lived in San Francisco, CA then returned to Bristol, MA. Do you have any information of Bettencourt/Soares members who would travel back and forth to family?

These two brothers had a father named Joseph Bettencourt but he left the family when they were young and living in Pico, Azores. When the boys moved to the US they took on their mother's last name of Soares.
