I am looking for a date of death for Susan Printz. She married Richard A. Claughton on 25 Aug 1825 in Alleghany Co. They possibly had a daughter in 1830 so her death would have been after that.

Surnames: CLAUGHTON, JOHNSON
Would you happen to know if Susan and Richard are the parents of a Mary J., Harriet P. Claughton who were married in the 1844 and 1852, respectively, in Franklin County, VA? They also had a brother named Richard Claughton who migrated with Harriet and her husband James M. JOHNSON to Pettis County, Missouri. I believe this Richard is the Confederate soldier mention in the Missouri Calvary during the civil war.

No, I'm sorry but I don't know anything about this family other than what I've read in your posts.

By process of elimination, I believe Susan Printz died between 1840 (when her son, Richard was born) and 1845, (when Richard A. Claughton married Susan H. Camper). Yes, I believe Richard A. Claughton married twice, with both wives named Susan.

The 1870 and 1880 censuses for Richard & Susan Claughton are in West Virginia. To date, I have not been able to find him in 1840, 1850 and 1860.

The only information available was 3 muster roll cards for a three year service, enlisted Newton Co., Mo. on September 13, 1862. There is also a card reflecting that a R.
