I too have relatives that live in Southeastern Oklahoma in Atoka Coal Counties. They are all full-blood Choctaws. My father is Wilson Cole, Gfather is Anice (Ernest) Cole, Gmother is Aurora (Noah) Cole. I have 2 uncles and 1 aunt who are now deceased. Their names are James Coleman Cole, Irvin Cole, and Isabinda (Cole) Moore. My only living aunt is Levina Jane (Cole) James. Perhaps this information will help in some way.

My grandfather, Lorenzo Dow Horn, married Sarah J. Cole in Williamson Co., ILL. in 1872, but my Dad's half-brothers say their mother's name was Mary J. Cole, daughter of Choctaw Chief, Coleman Cole. Are you in Coleman Cole's line and do you know the names of Coleman Cole's children? Hope to hear from you soon. Please contact me at

I'm trying to find record of a grandaughter named Charlotte, called "Lottie" by family. Lottie's daughter Dora was my sons GG Grandmother. Their grandfather, John David Wilkinson bears a remarkable resemblance to Chief Coleman. Have you found anything in your search regarding lottie? She was born 2/29/1840 and died 8/13/1941 at 101. Thanks so much, Sherry
